Cutting Layered Hairstyles at Home
Filed under: Hair Styles Author: Lori
What if there was a way that you could create a layered hairstyle at home. What if there was a way that you could get the same results from the salon through a video or tutorial – think about the money that you could save on the hair budget each time that you need a haircut or the layers in the style need to be trimmed.
Here are the steps that can be used to cut layers in the hairstyle at home:
Ensure that you have a sharp pair of scissors available that has been designed for cutting hair. These types of scissors are available at beauty supply stores and are worth the investment if you are going to regularly cut the hair at home.
Cut the bottom of the hair to the length that you would like to create for the overall length of the style.
Next, cut the layers in the hair one section at a time. The layers in the hair should be completed between three to six inches apart, depending on the length of the hairstyle and should ensure that the layers are the same length apart as the layer above them. The more layers that are created in the hairstyle, the choppier the layers are going to be throughout the hair.
Using the layers as the guide for the next layer, it is important to pay attention to any previous layers that have been created in the hair, as you should try and avoid overlapping the present layers in the style for the best results.
