New Hairstyles for Teens: Emo Hairstyles
Filed under: Hair Styles Author: Lori
Emo hairstyles are a reflection of the emotional character of individuals, hence the term “emo”. These hairstyles are typically dyed black, although any dark color is usually acceptable. Highlights are also a common practice with these types of hairstyles.
Side-swept bangs are another factor with this type of hairstyle with the bangs hanging over either eye. This type of hairstyle is not constricted by accessories, or treatments of any kind, except for the hair dye. There is no mousse or gel to be used. No hairclips are needed to keep the hair out of the eyes as that is one of the features of an emo hairstyle. One of the positive aspects of this hairstyle is that washing the hair is easy as there is no real styling involved.
Many teens enjoy this type of hairstyle because as their emotions change, so do the hairstyle and the Emo hairstyle allows them to reflect those changing emotions. A spiked look one day may indicate a good day while a flat look the next may show the change of emotion to a somewhat bad day. Having an Emo hairstyle does not indicate that the teen is unruly or surly, it is just a way for the teen to express him or herself to the world.
