Wedding Haircuts – Good Idea?
Filed under: Hair Styles Author: Lori
When it comes to planning the wedding, there are many steps of a certain process that are taken into account – especially while planning the attire for the bride and every aspect of the appearance. One of the most important aspects of the appearance of the bride at the wedding is to plan the hairstyle that is going to be used.
Although many brides choose to take advantage of styles which may require minor adjustments to the hair, it is important that the bride avoid any large changes within the hair that can influence the style that has been chosen, including a drastic decision like choosing an entirely different haircut close to the wedding date.
For most men, getting a hair cut on the day of the wedding is a tradition that can help them to feel and appear polished through the entire day, like taking advantage of a fresh shave. For most women however, it takes time to learn to style the new hair cut and also the hair is often washed before or after cutting. Washing the hair should be avoided on the day that the updo is going to be styled, as this can cause the hair to appear limp and lifeless, once the natural oils have been removed from the hair. Removing the natural oils from the hair can also make the hair difficult to style and can mean that double the amount of products are often required in the hair to obtain the same look.
Cutting the hair before the wedding, for women, should be avoided for at least two weeks as this can upset the style that has been chosen for the wedding and even confuse the stylist that has already created a run through of the wedding hairstyle, with the bride.
